This one to top of the end of April; really disappointed with myself for not watching enough films this month. The holiday abroad kid of slowed me down a bit too. Saying that I did watch a few older films too,but I would rather not comment on them to be honest.
OK back to business. The film was superb, lived up to expecations. Russell Crowe was well-casted as the "slob" of a journalist. Fine performance too from Ben Affleck; who I don't usually rate that much. Good contributions from Helen Mirren and Rachel McAdams too.
I thought that this would be a very average and a little boring, but there were a few edge of the seat moments. It was well-casted and this kept the viewer engaged.
I will try to watch a couple this weekend as its Bank Holiday Weekend. Cinema next week, hopefully X Men: Wolverine. I am expecting it to be a little predictable, but should be good for the action. Lets see!

Crank - High Voltage
Sorry ...really late post. I saw this at the cinema last week.
It was alright - Jason Statham doing what he is pretty good at! It was very similar to the last movie, and it was an attempt to follow-on where they left off (Jason Statham falling out of a plane!)
A lot of it was very stupid, with some funny moments, bit like being on a rollercoaster! And by the way, it has been left open for another sequel. And yes, he was left on the brink of death again at the end of this one!
Overall not bad; a bit of a break from the Norm!

The Caller
Was interested in watching this one as it starred Frank Langella; only ever seen him in Frost/Nixon so this one appealed to me so I could get an idea of his other work.
it was quite good, a little slow though. Was interested to see Laura Harring (Sunset Beach Fame) but unfortunately was not in it much.
Was linked in with the Second World War a little, and was a little sad, so don't watch if you are in a happy mood!

Monsters Vs Aliens
Sorry late on the posting; just been so busy as usual - winding down at work, getting ready to go on holiday and tying up lose ends! Watched this one at the beginning of the week, and must say it was quite delightful and very funny.
Very effective 3D animation, also found the jokes hilarious. Wonderful for the kids too. Not too long and easy to follow. The "Blob", voiced over by Seth Rogen was my favourite!
Looks like there may be a sequel to this in the pipeline. Go see it!
