Repo Men

Far fetched action sci-fi horror and drama here starring Jude Law and the brilliant Forest Whitaker, and Liev Schrieber supporting.

Good action and gripping stuff, but after half way, the plot weakens, only for you to be stung by an amazing twist 5 minutes before the end.

Definately one for horror and sci-fi junkies, worth a watch. I rate it a 7.

Tamara Drewe

Funny and corny british comedy here. Has received really good reviews and I must agree. The acting is very good, and Gemma Arterton adds another movie to her filmography; this rising star has a lot more to offer.

The two school girls in it are hilarious, and steal the show for me. There are some funny scenes and the parts are played by all involved to perfection.

Solid 8 from me and a big thumbs up!

Frozen

Some unpleasant stuff here; about the survival fight of 3 youngsters who get stranded on a skiing slope.

I first thought, how scary and how hard can it be to make an escape. But it sure is tough and it felt so realistic.

The acting from the newcomers is pretty good which makes the whole thing really believable.

Out in cinemas soon - solid 7. Check it out!

Cyrus

Funny capers here. Not seen John C Reilly as a main lead in a film for quite a long time. He was very good in this, I must admit.

The loveable Marisa Tomei was a great supporting act too.

Found the film quite serious in parts. It certainly was not a rom-com, more like a light drama.

Solid 7 in my books - enjoyed it ;)

The Disappearance Of Alice Creed

Brutal british film here about a kidnapping and ransom request.

Not an average movie by all means, there are only 3 actors in the entire movie!

Very clinical stuff here, and Gemma Arteton shows us she is not just a pretty face - showing some pretty good acting ability.

A few flaws, but otherwise hugely entertaining.

The Switch

Quite a pleasing film here. I was expecing something extremely silly, but it was surprisingly good!

It was not really a Romcom as such, more like a light drama.

The little boy in it was great; he will become a great actor one day - take my word for it!

Chemistry between Jen Aniston and Jason Bateman is very good.
