Thoroughly delightful film here; Bill Nighy and Emily Blunt get down to business in this entertaining caper.
Really good performances throughout; with a cameo appearance from Rupert Everett who I have not seen in quite some time.
Could be called silly at times, but not once did I feel it drag; always a good feeling when the time flies by.
I think it could be the British Film of the year - do watch!

Firewall
A film with Harrison Ford which I missed a few years ago and never got round to watching until it came on TV last night!
The story was quite simple, and although it was very cliche, it was still good to pass the time!
Paul Bettany was not that convincing as the bad guy. But Harrison Ford was good - I guess I like anything with him in it!

Black Death
What do you do if there is nothing else to go and watch in the cinema? Well, this is what I saw last week and was pleasantly surprised. All I knew, was that it was about some "plague".
The deeper story was a lot "darker" than that, and it was a movie that kept you guessing.
Acting by the young boy was very good. I also like movies where England is depicted in Medieval times.
Some great fight and gory scenes matching the "Saw" films!

Exam
Interesting plot here, although, not without its many flaws.
Nevertheless, it was a good build-up and kept you wanting to watch til the end - always a good receipe!
There were a few silly things, as already mentioned. Some similar films like, The Cube and Fermat's Room were in my opinion, better.
If you liked those, still do give it a go!

Treeless Mountain
Docu-type movie here focusing on the lives of 2 young korean girls.
Slow paced film, but it is full of culture and real-life. The acting of the girls is natural, and so is the stunning dusk and sunset cinematography - beautiful!
Has won a handful of awards - you need to see the deeper meanings; the pain of the 2 girls and symbolic dialogue used to fully understand and appreciate the beauty of this movie.
Very "arty" - must watch!

Jacobs Ladder
Powerful and mesmerising, thought provoking - and in my opinion, ranks as one of the top films of the 1990s.
Very dark and biblical, this leaves the audience guessing and keeps them on their toes throughout the movie.
The plot is quite complex and the story shows many flashbacks. I think one would need to watch it over and over to understand it fully and completely.
Excellent performance by a very young Tim Robbins. Definately one to watch if not seen already!

Borat
Oh gosh, you are all going to say how late this is! Going back to 2006.
Ever since watching Bruno, I wanted to see this, but just never got round to watching it.
I never paid attention to the TV either when the sketches for the character were on.
I must say I was pleasantly surprised and found myself giggling all the way through. Some scenes were outrageously hilarious, and I could probably watch it all over again!
Better late than never!

The Killer Inside Me
Sick, sick movie here - I felt myself shutting my eyes constantly during this.
A brilliant, raw performance By Casey Affleck - quite underated I think in Hollywood. I think most people are put off by his brother Ben who I've not seen in a movie for a very long time.
I don't think Jessica Alba quite fitted the bill as a prostitute set in the 70s, but Kate Hudson's character was spot on. A little cameo from Bill Pullman too.
Not for the faint-hearted!
