Poor effort. don't think Jason Statham had his heart in it. Poor show by the director.
Could have been so much better, intense, interesting. Not enough development/space for any other character.
Overall, for the avid Statham fan only. Otherwise, don't bother.

Run All Night
This movie kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. The script was average, the editing very good, the camera work great, the music terrific, and the acting was phenomenal!
Go, you won't be disappointed. There is a great car chase that can hold its own with the best. It's a gangster movie, so expect lots of shoot-em-up scenes. Gory as they were, they were consistent with all the scenes in the film, so after a short time they became inconsequential and I focused on the amazing acting.

Chappie
Chappie is a fun ride. It has it's interesting moments, to say the least.
If you liked District 9, you'll like this one too. District 9 had a lot more likable characters and emotional ties. Chappie has too many forgettable characters, and a lot of characters that will confuse you.
Despite any little criticisms I might have, Chappie is much more relatable to District 9 than Elysium.
It's not bad, but not amazing either!

Kill The Messenger
Even though I'd never heard of Gary Webb, I wanted to see the movie because the story sounded interesting and I enjoy movies based on true events. I'm wiser for having watched it, but to call it a movie might be a stretch. It's almost like the director didn't want to use creative license, so he just left stuff out. There's a focus on Webb the family man, but hardly enough to endear the viewer to him or his family. There's a focus on his investigative reporting, but its not like the movie followed the events step-by-step, which would have been great. Then, to top it all off, they plug Ray Liotta and Andy Garcia in as pivotal figures to Webb's investigation, but they only get like 5 minutes of screen time. You expect to see them again at some point but never do. Again, the decision to make a film on this subject was great, the vision for the movie, however, doesn't do the subject matter justice. Great subject, average movie.

Focus
I really enjoyed Focus. It has a few small problems, but was good.
The story felt original and was hard to predict, making the twists even better and more shocking. Even if they were a tiny bit forced.
The acting is really good. Both Will and Margot did a great job!
There are some inconsistencies and some added drama that takes the audience out of reality a little, but it was compelling, well-made, and entertaining!
